What's to love about John Shea?

In a very real way, John Shea’s paintings speak to the Canadian experience of winter. His perspectives on winter landscapes, featuring local heritage buildings, has contributed to his recognition throughout Ontario. You might be surprised to learn that John paints with watercolours on paper that he wets, stretches on board and then frames himself. Speaking about the spontaneity of his work; “with watercolour you can’t go back, you can’t cover mistakes, it’s in the moment.” John now resides at Rosal Bay on Newboro Lake, Canada.
